TEHRAN – Tehran Friday prayer leader Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Movahedi Kermani says university students and academics are the flag-bearers of fighting against U.S. oppression and tyranny.

Addressing worshipers on Friday, Movahedi Kermani said seeking justice and fighting against the U.S. is an integral part of the student movement, ISNA reported.

He also pointed to the Yemeni crisis, saying the brutal killing of the Yemeni people by the Al Saud regime through a complicity by the Zionists and the U.S. proves that their claims about human rights “are nothing but lies.”

“They are only after their own economic interests and do not respect human beings, humanity, and human rights,” he added.
